OCEAN has launched our Ambassador Program
OCEAN Ambassadors are a team of enthusiastic members who believe in creating productive working relationships, encouraging member involvement, and acting as a boosters for Orange County’s business community.
The Ambassadors act as community points of contact. They are a group of business leaders who generously give their time to act as official OC business boosters. They call on members throughout the year to remind them of the upcoming OCEAN events, charity fundraisers, and the work that OCEAN does to promote local businesses and build a strong local economy here in Orange County.
They act as official co-hosts of OCEAN at such functions as mixers, networking events, receptions, and other events as called upon. They also perform outreach to new members in order to help them understand all that OCEAN has to offer.
Ambassador Code of Ethics
Standards of conduct are intended to allow all OCEAN Ambassadors to work together with respect to one another’s personal and legal rights, so that business can be conducted efficiently and professionally. The following organizational standards, while not all-inclusive, are the principal standards in effect for OCEAN Ambassadors. These standards apply equally to all and are for the protection of all members and Ambassadors.
Fundamental to all OCEAN interactions are certain values:
- Respect for our members and all who live/work in Orange County
- Integrity in our actions.
- Responsibility for our decisions and their consequences.
- Avoiding conflict, which includes the avoidance of topics likely to lead to conflict.
As Board of Directors and Ambassadors we are committed to:
- Acting honestly, truthfully and with integrity in all our transactions and dealings;
- Avoiding conflicts of interest;
- Appropriately handling actual or apparent conflicts of interest in our relationships;
- Treating our members fairly;
- Treating every individual with dignity and respect;
- Treating people with respect, fairness and good faith and providing conditions of employment that safeguard their rights and welfare;
- Being a good corporate citizen and complying with both the spirit and the letter of the law;
- Acting responsibly toward the communities in which we work and for the benefit of the communities that we serve;
- Being responsible, transparent and accountable for all of our actions; and
- Improving the accountability, transparency, ethical conduct and effectiveness of the business community.
